MidTier (midtier.io) is a property management dashboard for landlords, property managers and their tenants. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you use MidTier on behalf of a company or landlord entity, you confirm you're authorised to accept these terms for it.
You need an account to use MidTier. Landlords and property managers create manager accounts; tenants get access through the manager they rent from. You're responsible for keeping your password secure, for everything that happens under your account, and for giving us accurate information. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
You keep ownership of the data you put into MidTier — properties, units, tenants, leases, payments, maintenance requests and photos. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you.
If you're a landlord or manager, you're responsible for the tenant data you enter and for making sure you have a lawful basis to collect and store it — including tenant personal details, lease terms, payment records and maintenance photos. If you're a tenant, you're responsible for the accuracy of what you submit through the service, such as maintenance requests.
New accounts may start with a sample portfolio of fictional data for demonstration. It belongs to MidTier, contains no real personal information, and stays out of the way when you add your own data.
Managers see the properties, units, tenants, leases, payments and maintenance requests in their own portfolio. Tenants see only their own lease, rent status and payment history, and the maintenance requests they've submitted. We don't expose your portfolio to other users, and we don't use your data to advertise to anyone.
Don't use MidTier to break the law or anyone's rights, don't upload malicious code, don't try to access other users' data, don't scrape or overload the service, and don't resell access without our written agreement. We may suspend accounts that put the service or other users at risk.
MidTier is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans, we'll tell existing users well in advance and won't move anyone onto a paid plan automatically. We may change or discontinue features; if a change materially reduces what you rely on, we'll give you reasonable notice.
We work hard to keep MidTier available, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Scheduled maintenance and events outside our control (hosting outages, connectivity failures) can interrupt the service.
You can stop using MidTier at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or applicable law. When your account ends, we handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
MidTier is provided "as is". It's a management and record-keeping tool — it isn't legal, accounting or compliance advice, and it doesn't replace your obligations as a landlord or tenant under housing law. To the fullest extent the law allows, MidTier isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before it arose (which, while the service is free, is zero).
We may update these terms as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update this page and change the date above. Continuing to use MidTier after a change means you accept the updated terms.
